About Our Artisan's
Debbie Ashby lives in the Curry area and is an active photographer using computer
imaging.  Not only does she specialize in local scenes, for a small fee, she will take
baby portraits at your home.



John Cranor lives in Jasper and is a very talented photographer focusing on world
travels.  The Lily Pond currently has a wonderful collection of his recent trip to Spain.  
His work can be found in several businesses and homes around the Alabama area.




Sandra Heaven (Heaven and Earth Pottery) and her husband adore the Smith
Lake area.  As a retired Art Teacher from Wallace State, Sandra was involved in many
forms of art.  Sandra travels to many Arts and Crafts show throughout the country
showcasing her amazing creative as well as practical pottery pieces.  Many people
collect her work and follow her where ever she goes.
Lynn Mishkel, a retired doctor in Jasper, is now able to spend more time painting
scenes of places she has visited as well as beautiful floral oil pieces.  She captures
the moment using complex yet pleasing color arrangements.  Lynn is very active in
pursuing other art media's as well as defining her own.





Tina Naden and her family relocated to Jasper then later to Smith Lake from
Birmingham due to her husband's medical assignment.  She and her husband, Dr.
Dean Naden are now co-owners of NW Alabama Urgent Care Center. Tina adores the
outdoor atmosphere and creates abstract pieces that indicate her love of the lake.  
She also creates popular multi-media pieces that include vintage jewelry as part of
the paintings.   




Plum O'Bryant works full time for the US Postal Service and portrays her love of art
using photography.  She has several black and white as well as colored pieces of
local landmarks including the well-known Duncan Bridge which separates Walker and
Winston county.





Barb Valentine and her husband Bob moved from Florida to the Smith Lake area
but originally from Michigan.  This artist is extremely talented and constantly pursues
art.  She attends many nationally know seminars to learn from world renown artist's.
Her work can be seen in other galleries in the South and has won prestige awards.  
The Lily Pond is proud to exhibit her work.





Laurin Humphries recently graduated at a local high school and has demonstrated
wonderful talent.  Her acrylic pop art paintings include portrait drawings.  In 2008,
she received a scholarship to attend one of the Southeast most prestigious art
school in Savannah.  



Betty Swindle, an artist from the Arley area, uses acrylic to capture the
unbelievable precise details of any photograph or picture.  Betty enjoys painting
historical places.  Her well known piece "Boshell Mill" captivates her audience because
of it's likeness of long ago.  Betty is available to custom paint any photograph or
she can come to your home to provide that "one of a kind" memory.
Larry Cahela, aka Bubba Ray Buford, is the author of "Bubba Ray Redneck
Views" and is currently writing his second book.  Every Southern man should have
a least one copy of his funny view of southern livin' (living).  Larry also sells unique
computer art prints that captures the spectrum of beautiful and interesting colors.



Shari Wright from Madison, Mississippi is an outstanding watercolor artist.  Her
pieces are so detailed that at first glance one would think they were photographs.  
She uses plenty colors that captures the reality of her subjects.  Shari is available
for commission work by using your digital pictures.  Call for additional details.



Steve Kilpatrick a native of Walker County recently retired from Dummond Coal
and can now spend time doing what he does best, turning scrupulous wooden
bowls. These are not yours ordinary bowls.  Steve combines various types of
wood to create the most beautiful, extremely artistic bowls that are museum
quality.  



Paul Partain another Walker County native creates exquisite writing pens using
exotic woods and titanium parts.  These pens come in various sizes, colors, and
some are made using bullet caseins.  With advance notice, Paul can custom make
your pen and can even have it lazered engraved for that special event.
